Brothers 02:28
One was tame, one was wild Brothers Cain and Abel style But I was unable, I wasn't Abel And I sure as hell weren't Cain Look so different in that picture One is truth, one is fiction Versions of each other, or Versions of the truth * Find yourself in the eyes of your brother Find your face in the kind of another (Look so different in that picture One is truth, one is fiction) One was tame, the other wild Brothers Cain and Able style But I wasn't Able and I wasn't Cain Or my brother under a different name One lived east, one lived west Tattoos covered the others' chest And one was drunk, the other stoned But neither was himself anymore * (One lived east, one lived west Tattoos covered the others' chest) And one lived in peace, one lived in war Neither knew what the hell the other did the other for Different times, different conclusions Different lives, different solutions *

The North is lonely Like a left behind lover I left her for another To move somewhere warmer The North is lonely It lives far from it's neighbors They moved far away The North is lovely When given some lovin' If love never leaves you You know you'll never leave it The North is lovely But it's time for leavin' Yeah it's leavin' season My love is lonely I left her in the winter She froze hard and bitter I hardly do miss her The North was cruel to her But I was far crueler She's sad I ever knew her And know she walks alone No place to call her home My life is lonely For I live with noone And I come from nowhere Yeah I came for nothing I'm lonelier than her She will find someone better Unless I go get her 'Cause now I walk alone No place to call my home

New American Royalty Poor as far as the eye can see Living as a refugee Native-born and clandestine Old American Royalty Born and bred in a major key Dissonance is unbecoming And the dissidents are coming for me New American Royalty Has no skills except for spending Get a job to pay for things No money left for eating Old American Royalty Has no skills except for spending Went and bought up all the things Nothing left for the new royalty Old American Royalty Made me wanna be royal too Living as if I am king Native-born, entitled to a way of life I cannot afford (Well neither can you) -------------- Well I'd almost forgotten, but I'm not ready to forgive That all these people that you step on are just trying to live Well you take everything, you take and you take You can take all that I own, I'm not ready to break 'Cause you'd thought I'd forgotten, and I'm not even ready to forgive Yeah we may not be kings but let's live like we think they should live

Seasons 01:22
Fall out of bed Fall is here The fall of the dead Comes in Fall of this year You fade too fast Falter in fear Fold up in a ball When Fall is here Gather some leaves Left in the snow You let ‘em get cold and wet ‘Fore you could ever know Know what to write on them Wind carries your words Down to the spring Of when you could be heard The sun and the scent Of something sprung of the sense Of the song you sung While summer came and went White wind in the words Chilled and calmed your bones Born in the Fall You finally found your home (Hung up on the word you finally found your home)

Sister Crow taught me this song Before her voice is dead and gone I asked her to sing just one more song The one she chose was twenty miles long (and it went) Hoja (Joseph) sang this song last night Had a horse for sale seems fine A dollar for the horse he cried Then fifty for the stick to drive (And I said) Brother coyot' sang this song I swear he was a mile long Sent it swimming out to shore He lost most of it in a war Now he holds his love so close (Holds her every single night, singing)

Devil 06:44
I am caught tumbling earthwards, I am falling from the sky I landed on the sidewalk, caught a leaf in my eye Pick myself up, keep on moving, gotta walk on down the line I'm going to meet the Devil on a clear autumn night Got the rush of adventure, a hint of fear of hell I'm like the Goodman Brown, I'm under the Devil's spell The one I whisper to myself alone under lamplight Says I'm gonna meet the Devil on a night like tonight Got no heaven above me, got no faith down below Got no world around me, even doubt I got a soul I just know I've got a body and it's walkin' down the line It's going to meet the Devil on a clear autumn night When I sing I look skywards like the answer's up there I don't believe it is although it could be in the air Like a leaf tumbling earthward from dead branches in the sky Reaching down to grab me and carry me to the Devil tonight Got the rush of adventure, a hint of fear of hell I'm like the Goodman Brown, I'm under the Devil's spell But if I cannot make it, if the walk proves too far I'll conjure up the image of a demon with my guitar

about

Songs from the Falls of 2010 and 2011. I finally sat down and recorded them. It was fun. Half of these I already play out all the time. At least one of them hasn't been heard by anyone yet.
